Documented impact
From a refugee camp to a school community.
ED-EYE Outreach’s first two documented outreaches reached two very different communities, with screening, free visual aids, donations and appropriate referral support.
- 193 refugees screened at Krisan Refugee Camp in Ghana’s Western Region.
- Medications and readers were dispensed, with appropriate referrals made to Saint Martin De Porres Hospital.
- 177 students and staff screened at Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Blind.
- 15 people received free prescription glasses, alongside donations including brailles, braille sheets, white canes and food items.
